So that the closer you come for the drops of life
Orographic it bleeds, pressure rising inside
Bringing carbon to bathe in the inertia of desire

At the brink of a dream, flickering in a gleam of fiery eye
So that when you look West at the waters of tides
What salinity whispers your cracked lips can’t abide

And from amidst the fields growing dry with cries
Of falsity planted with a short sighted eye
The prayers for rain are answered with skies
Holding only disdain, a cloudless demise

The drought will dry up all of the mire
And push into light Homo Rodentia pronounced, the final design

Shedding the flesh of desperate times
The drought will purify the minds
Of those who wish to sacrifice the trials
Of perfect systems built to stand through time
